Testimonial:
Late last year, I was not doing well. Thanks to fast food, frozen pizzas, takeout and little-to-no physical activity, everything was a struggle. I knew I had to change something so for New Year’s, I gave up all processed foods (as well as sugars, grains and dairy for the first 10 days). I actually had withdrawal symptoms for four days, although within two days of eating mostly raw veggies and lean protein, a lot of my aches and pains were gone, especially in my knees and back. And on the 5th day I felt great!
I think it was about then that I ventured back into Innovative for the first time in several years, and I think I’ve been in every morning since. I forgot how nice a club Innovative is and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of new equipment! It’s so nice to have a place with so many features so close to home.
I started with 30 minutes of cardio per day for the first month or so. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly that got easier, and I was walking faster and could climb steps much easier. However, I noticed that while I my clothes were fitting better, I had more energy and felt great, the weight loss started to plateau.
I spoke with Brian about my situation and goals, and he recommended adding strength training a few days per week to help break through that, which really helped. He also recommended Luke as my personal trainer for the Jump Start program, which has been going great! Luke really took the time to listen to my goals, how things were going, and make suggestions based on that. You can tell he’s really serious about helping people, and keeps workouts fun, varied and encouraging, but challenging.
I’m looking forward to more great results. Thanks for running a clean, well equipped and well maintained facility!
