How she did it:
- Trains twice a week with Luke.
- Changed eating habits.
- Runs outside or on treadmill everyday.
I have been training with Luke two times a week since March. Training with Luke has held me accountable and has helped change my eating pattern. It takes discipline and having a trainer helps me stay focused. If I don’t meet with Luke, you’ll find me on the treadmill almost everyday. If I can’t make it to the gym, you’ll find me outside running. I came to Innovative via a friend’s referral. She spoke highly of this gym. Innovative is friendly, not intimidating and has a welcoming atmosphere.
On January 2, I weighed 212 pounds and I knew I had to make a change. I tried dietary changes, but knew that was not enough. I joined Innovative in February – making one of the best decisions of my life. I have lost a total of 49 pounds! There were days I wanted to quit and days I didn’t make the best dietary choices, but I never gave up.
One thing I’ve learned over the past couple months is that what I am doing is not a diet – it’s a lifestyle. It’s not for everyone, but me. Not for a day, but everyday. Not to feel good in a dress, but to feel good in my skin. Not just for my body, but for my mind. Not for a competition, but for THE competition I have created for myself, by myself, to become a better version of myself. Every. Single. Day.
