Rebecca
Rebecca is a former nationally-competitive dancer with a combined 20 years of experience as a performer, choreographer and professional instructor. After formally ending her dancing days, she began practicing yoga and was hooked! Rebecca is now a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher, specially trained in Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT), a modality specifically designed for medical and mainstream wellness settings, including hospitals and rehabilitation centers. The IYT approach works to treat the whole person through posture, breath work and other means. She hopes to bring the benefits and joys of yoga to all who wish to learn. In addition to working in a traditional gym setting with clients, she also teaches one-on-one yoga in a private studio space, as well as in corporate offices and at the local fire department.
Rebecca also loves to travel – her dance career has taken her across many borders – both domestic and international. Before coming to Innovative Health & Fitness, she was living the dream in Nagoya, Japan, where she worked as a full-time educator.
